Key Account Manager – Heavy Industries, West Africa

 

 

What you can expect in this role 

We are hiring a strategic and customer-oriented Key Account Manager to manage our commercial operations in West Africa’s Heavy Industries market.

As a member of the North and West Africa Sales Team, you will be responsible for managing key accounts, leading high-value customer projects, and delivering tailored, value-added solutions that meet evolving market demands of industrial client in the region, especially for Mining, Cement and Metals industries.

You will join a global organization and collaborate with teams across the world, working to reduce friction through our technologies and services to ensure seamless operations for our customers

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to reach and surpass assigned objectives
  • Align sales efforts with NWA strategies and business objectives. 
  • Manage the full customer lifecycle: sales forecasting, supply planning, order handling, delivery coordination, and payment follow-up. 
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and profitability through strategic account management
  • Conduct regular customer visits to understand business needs, build and deepen long-term commercial and technical relationships
  • Analyze market trends and customer insights to identify new business opportunities. 
  • Recommend innovative solutions to enhance competitiveness and profitability. 
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives, monthly forecasting, and process optimization. 
  • Support promotional campaigns and strategic planning. 

 

What we expect for this position 

  • Degree in Engineering / Marketing Strategy/Business Management, as well as technical industrial knowledge
  • Demonstrated experience in account management or industrial sales, preferably in heavy industries (Mining, Cement and Metals industries)
  • Self-motivated and execution focused with an ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Good planning and problem solving skills with ability to manage projects and deliver results across multiple markets. 
  • Good learning ability, curiosity and willingness to develop further. 
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken
  • Be willing to travel frequently to visit customers regularly to build customer relationships and trust

Additional information

The position is located in Abidjan, on local contract.

You will report to the Sales Manager West Africa, who is located in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
