JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Factory Business Development
Reports To: Factory Manager
Role Type: Individual Contributor
Location: Ahmedabad (Factory)
Purpose of the role:
Execute the new Business Development activities at factory level by bringing voice of market to the factory and business decisions to market by business support.
Responsibilities:
- To develop new business opportunities for factory together with Product line Portfolio Manager & Sales.
- Work closely with India Sales Team to understand the trends in the industry, identify new opportunities and position SKF- India as a potential supplier.
- To act as an interface between customer requirement and manufacturing
- Initiate Business Gate meetings for all opportunities with factories and drive with respective BUs till realization of business.
- Representative for all ETO/Projects meeting and key member on New Projects in Cross-functional Team
- To do feasibility study and cost calculation in consultation with engineering & controlling to develop the cost level and investment requirements of the Business opportunity and Co-ordinate with Mfg. Engineering to submit samples on time.
- Monitor and track all Product Enquiries across segments, generate and analyze the Hit rate across BU.
- Develop MIS on new business won, RFQs, capacity utilization, product line wise spare capacity etc.
- Drive export sales.
- Product introduction and delivery support in ERP systems like Prodmast, DOH,COH and Citrix
- To Liaise with Factory Supply chain in order to understand the free capacity current and Future & contribute in strategic planning for future.
- Drive and facilitate communication between Channels, segments and product division (factories) regarding emerging technical trends and customer needs.

Education & Experience
- Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing and Sales
- Industry - Manufacturing /Engineering firms, Auto components, OEMs
