Job Title: Shift Engineer – Production / Shift Engineer – Roller Production
Reports to: Channel Group Manager
Role Type: Individual Contributor
Job Location: Bavla, Ahmedabad (Nodal Pick-up Drop available from Ahmedabad)
Shift: Must be willing to work: Rotational shifts (Weekly Shift Roster)
Purpose of the role: To support and drive improvements in day to day operations of the factory by optimizing Man, Machine Material and Method for delivering performance of factory in term of SQDCWE.
Responsibilities
- Production deliveries schedule control, channel efficiency improvement activities, shift Management, resource allocation, manning.
- Monitor cycle time optimization efficiency and improve performance of bottleneck m/c
- Conduct audits and certifications
- Drive the deployment of SKF Production System in the Factory and Getting him/herself updated with new tools and methods in SPS tools.
- Support the team for developing new standards and Facilitating different improvement projects up to conclusion
- Drive and facilitate the deployment of Master plan , daily management and KPI’s in the factory
- Drive the Culture of Kaizens in the factory
- SLR improvement activity for the factory.
- Maintenance in regular improvement based on daily deviation. ( M/c condition monitoring, PM, Tooling life development and improve resetting time)
- Works for improvement of set-up- adjustment loss hours.
- Maintain material requirements and follow up with respective departments
- Provide on-the-job training to personnel and map/monitor skill matrix
- Provide counseling for workmen behavior & work related matters

Candidate Profile
- Technical Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Industrial Production.
- Around 7 years of shop-floor experience in grinding & assembly
- Deep knowledge about lean tools and SKF Production System in general
- Open minded, able to work in cross cultural environment, multi-tasking and capability
- Worked in bearing production company.
- Good communication, facilitation, teamwork & project management skills
- Good skill in interpersonal relations for effective shopfloor operations.
