What you can expect in the role:

Solution Ownership: Act as the application owner for SAP IBP, APO, and SO99+, ensuring system performance, data integrity, and sustainability. Manage lifecycle activities such as upgrades, patching, and enhancements.

System Architecture & Integration: Design and maintain an integrated landscape connecting SAP IBP, APO, SO99+, and SAP S/4HANA. Ensure seamless data flow across planning, logistics, and production systems.

Planning Process Enablement: Support demand, supply, inventory, and S&OP processes through IT solutions that enhance efficiency and agility. Optimize master data and forecasting algorithms in collaboration with business stakeholders.

Defend the Core: Protect standard SAP planning solutions by minimizing custom developments and ensuring changes are justified by clear business value, compliance, or regulatory needs.

Service & Supplier Management: Secure stable, high‑quality operations of planning applications by leading ITIL‑based service processes and managing external vendors and implementation partners to ensure reliable, cost‑efficient delivery of SAP IBP, APO, and SO99+ services.
- Innovation & Digital Roadmap: Lead initiatives in predictive analytics, AI-assisted forecasting, and automation. Drive the digital transformation roadmap for planning applications with a focus on standardization and cloud scalability.

Project & Budget Leadership: Manage IT implementation and enhancement projects, coordinating with global teams and vendors. Plan and control budgets for IBP, APO, and SO99+ systems, ensuring cost efficiency and resource optimization.
This is a practical role focused on delivering results and ensuring progress for the Service. While you will guide and coordinate work across teams, the position does not include direct personnel management or team development responsibilities.
You will enjoy working here if you have:

Relevant academic background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Supply Chain Management (or related field).

Proven experience in SAP IBP, SO99+, APO or similar global planning applications.

Strong knowledge of supply chain planning processes, including demand planning, inventory optimization, and S&OP.

Experience in system architecture, integration, and process design within global manufacturing environments.

Solid understanding of data management, governance, and analytics.

Experience managing IT projects with cross-functional and cross-regional teams.

Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
Some additional information
The position is based at one of SKF Automotive’s major global locations, with a preference for Pune or Bangalore (India), Cajamar (Brazil), Puebla (Mexico), Airasca (Italy), Saint Cyr (France) or our sites in China. For this role, we are looking for candidates who already live in one of these locations, so relocation is not planned.
We offer a flexible hybrid setup, which means you can work from home a few days per week and spend the remaining days on‑site. Employment is on a local contract, so you need to live within commuting distance of your local SKF Automotive site.
You will report to Alan Pereira Reis, Team Lead, Supply Chain Management IT. Alan´s location is Gothenburg, Sweden.
