JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Assistant Manager – Electrical Design
Reports To: Head - Engineering, Product Line & Competency Center
Role Type: Individual Contributor
Location: Bangalore (Lubrication Factory)
Purpose of the role:
Design, manage, and deliver Grease / Oil Circulation Systems projects, Reliability Engineering, and projects as lubrication solutions. Manage technical projects in direct contact with customers or as support for local units and bring wide and deep knowledge acquired on one or several industries/ business areas - Assure the project is delivered in due time, with the right cost and quality.
To create, deliver, and maintain system variants that should be offered, manufactured, or used for other specific purposes by applying released design rules and other product-relevant rules to ensure the controller & control panel design according to the present and future market needs.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components, including circuitry, wiring, and control systems.
- Create and review technical specifications, drawings, and schematics to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to integrate electrical systems into larger projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for electrical engineering projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during the design, development, testing, and production phases.
- Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering technologies and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians, service engineers during installation & commissioning
- Participate in project meetings, reviews, and presentations as needed.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet project goals.
Metrics
- On-time completion / Execution of Project order Engineering Completion
- First Time rights – Number of mistakes in drawings
- Response time to customer
- Succession planning (Develop at least 1 new variant in the system)
Competencies
- Experience in handling/designing electrical control panels. Engineering/project engineering functions in a similar kind of industry.
- Strong design aptitude and skills related to PLC / Controllers for lubrication systems.
- Complete knowledge in PLC programming for PLC’s Siemens, ABB, and Allen Bradly
- Knowledge of hydraulic / lubrication systems.
- Project management skills: good verbal / written communication
- SAP added advantage.
- Ability to work independently.
- Working experience in Electrical Cad
- Interaction with customers, vendors, service contractors, and end users
- High result and customer orientation
- Willingness to travel on short notice to customer places/sites as needed
- Fluent in English, Good academics, and Local language
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BE) Electrical/Electronics
- Minimum 5-9years of experience
- PLC & Drives Programming mandatory, (Siemens) is preferred.
