Commercial Excellence Bearings is a global function dedicated to improving customer experience through product line management, industry expertise, and commercial capabilities. We are currently seeking to expand our Product Information Management team within the Commercial Capabilities group. 

The Product Information Management team has been responsible for creating and maintaining the renowned “Rolling Bearing Catalogue” since the company's inception. Presently, all information is distributed digitally, and we strive to ensure that this information is as accessible and smooth as possible to support an optimal customer journey.

JOB DESCRIPTION

 Job Title:    Product Information Editor - Bearing interchange tool

 Reports To: Manager Product Information Commercial Capabilities

 Role Type:    Individual Contributor

 Location:     Bangalore

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient maintenance of SKF's product information within the Product Information Management (PIM) system, with a particular focus on cross-references in the interchange tool Croesus. In this role you have the possibility to improve the customer experience for our customers worldwide by providing a frictionless experience to select the right bearing. 

   
Key responsibilities (or What you can expect in the role) 

• Responsible for managing and maintaining existing SKF product information in PIM (Product Information Management) with focus on cross-references in the interchange tool Croesus
• Accountable for monitoring incoming requests via ServiceNow, KanBan planner and HotJar or similar tools and evaluate needs from customers.
• Drives continuous improvement, optimization and automation of processes related to the work.
• You use customer experience data, direct feedback and reach out to users in order to develop “customer obsessed” information to drive sales of SKF products.  

Together with a small high-performing team you are to realize the vision to "offer relevant product information to enable the best customer experience

Requirements (or We expect you to have/be) 

• 4-9 years of university studies within Mechanical Engineering or similar
• 3+ years of work experience within application engineering, product development, product line management or similar
• Fluency in English, both oral and written
• Interest to collaborate with full value chain of product information (supply chain, product development & engineering and users of information)
• Documented experience of technical writing
• Experienced user of Excel, Power BI and preferably SQL databases
• Experience in working with complex IT systems (such as preferably Informatica Product 360)

Technical skills

• Fluency with Microsoft Office tools - especially Excel
• Experience of complex Web Content Management Systems (preferably Tridion Sites, ContentStack)

Beneficial if you also have

• Good overall understanding of SKF products and how these are being used in manufacturing industries.
• Experience of application engineering within mechanical component domain (bearings, seals, lubrication, industrial transmission etc)
