Digital Engineering & Innovation:
Digital Engineering & Innovation team is an international team based in multiple countries across the globe. We serve customers and distributors directly through services like Bearing Assist mobile application and AI enabled search on skf.com and provide immediate support for product selection and troubleshooting. Additionally, we support customers indirectly by offering solutions such as Engineering Tools, Product Lifecycle Management, Configurators, and Design Solutions. Many of these are AI-enabled, secure, and compliant with industry standards. We collaborate with various SKF teams to create a digital ecosystem, develop innovative solutions, and enhance our entire value chain to add value to our customers.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job title: Software Product Lead
Reports To: Manager ESM
Role Type: Individual Contributor
Location: Bangalore
Role Purpose:
To support and train the user community of SKF engineering software.
Key Accountabilities:
Key Activities/Decision Areas
- To collect and to indicate the necessary steps to correctly translate mechanical applications into calculation models
- To drive the transfer of knowledge to the global SKF engineering community and towards the software product engineer.
- To collect and to organise the user requirements and translate them into detailed software enhancements
- To prepare and to validate information to be conveyed into tech-notes, on-line documentation, webinars and presentations
- To plan, to develop and to lead special assignments and give tier 2 support to the global SKF engineering community regarding technical issues and/or support enquiries in the competence areas
- To validate and to verify the developed SKF software tools, in relation to the users’ requirements, the correctness and the relevance of results provided by the software
- To advise management on appropriate mid and long-term developments in his competence areas
- To collect and to document the relevant knowledge related to new and well-known bearing applications
Project role
- To act as specialist for Digital Products Engineering Software Management within SKF in the competence areas
- To assist in complex customer projects as technical support on modelling
- To take part as project member in (large) software development projects
- To plan own work

- To actively develop and to maintain internal links within the global SKF engineering community to understand their needs related to the competence area
- To have a good organizational awareness
- To provide appropriate specialist support to the global SKF engineering community by undertaking tasks as assigned by the Software Product manager
- To contribute to achieve the results of the concerned department

- To mentor software product engineers by transferring knowledge and developing expertise, skills and experience

Role Dimensions:
Financial, Quantitative (Measures)
- Can be responsible and accountable for projects with a project value of approximately 50 kEuro or more per annum
- S.o.C. approximately 1 FTE or more
Non-financial, Qualitative (Measures)
- To develop project conclusions and recommendations, which have a major impact on the project results
- Project activities tend to be of different types, that should have some knowledge of activities outside the own area of expertise
- Contributes to and is an active team member.
- Plan, coordinate, carry out knowledge projects in the area of own expertise according to priorities set by management
Candidate’s Profile:

- Experience : Min 3 Years Candidate should be Good with verbal and written communication and must have a casting background.
