Business Line Manager, Power Transmission

At MPT, we’re looking for a commercially strong Business Line Manager for Power Transmission (PT), to lead and accelerate growth in our industrial power transmission business. This business covers a broad portfolio of chains, belts and couplings used in demanding industrial applications and sold mainly through distribution channels.

As a key player in our business line team, you’ll be strengthening our position in industrial power transmission products by translating market insights into a focused, competitive and commercially effective portfolio, ensuring strong execution and sustained competitiveness.

What you can expect

In this role, you will help turn the broad and technical Power Transmission portfolio into a preferred, easy-to-sell and widely stocked choice across the distribution network.

You will lead the shift towards a demand-driven offer, ensuring that the portfolio reflects real customer needs and supports faster sales, stronger distributor engagement and higher market penetration. Your role is key in defining where to play and how to win across relevant segments, product families and channels.

By working closely with Sales, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing and Offer Development teams, you will ensure end-to-end alignment, execution and accountability, contributing to profitable growth and increased market share.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define and execute a clear industrial Power Transmission market strategy
  • Drive bundling and cross-selling opportunities with bearings solutions and maintenance products, including strengthening the distributor engagement and channel effectiveness for industrial power transmission products.
  • Drive the development and implementation of simple and effective sales tools
  • Drive differentiation beyond price in a competitive, commodity-driven market, and support stock optimization and assure strategic availability to support growth.

What we expect you to have/be

  • Solid expertise in industrial power transmission products
  • Proven experience in business line management, product management or commercial leadership with solid experience in industrial distribution-driven businesses.
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills combined with on-time execution capability, with solid ability to take ownership for project execution.
  • Experience in portfolio management, go-to-market strategy and channel development, with ability to translate market insights into concrete business actions.
  • Results-driven mindset with strong ownership and accountability, with ability to work with stakeholders and teams across functions and regions.
  • Solid communication and influencing skills, with fluency in English.

We are looking for someone who understands industrial product businesses and who thrives in a dynamic environment. You have the ability translate a broad and technical portfolio into clear commercial priorities by simplifying the offer, strengthening distribution, improving product positioning and driving differentiation beyond price in a competitive market.

SKF is committed to creating a diverse environment, and we firmly believe that a diverse workforce is essential for our continued success. Therefore, we only focus on your experience, skills, and potential. Come as you are – just be yourself. #weareSKF
