Business Development Specialist - Product Line Wheel End for Passenger Vehicle –
Automotive North America
Location: Blue Bell, PA preferred, will consider Plymouth, MI - hybrid
As a Business Development and Range Specialist, you will be part of the transformation within SKF Automotive Vehicle Aftermarket (VA) in North America, from combustion engines to electric vehicles in the independent automotive aftermarket. SKF Automotive VA aims to maintain and expand its leading role in the major sector of wheel end. Now we need you to strengthen our team!
Your responsibility is to develop and maintain a competitive and attractive product line portfolio along the product life cycle. In your role, you´ll coordinate collaboration between internal teams (e.g. Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Demand Chain, SKF Automotive factories …) and external partners such as suppliers and customers.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end journey of a product lifecycle from ideation to phase-out, including go to market, growth and maturity phases.
- Make technical assessments of our supplier offers and competitor products.
- Analyze market data and competitors to identify potential gaps in our product range.
- Maintain, process and update product data, including application, OE (Original Equipment) linkage, and competitor linking.
- Close collaboration with SKF Automotive factories and suppliers in cooperation with purchasing.
- Analyze financial data and drive projects for product line efficiency and profitability.
- Provide customer support and work with Sales to sustain a successful market presence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, experienced mechanic or equivalent professional experience combined with technical knowledge of automotive spare parts.
- Experience in complex data analysis and an interest in data analysis at a very detailed level.
- Knowledge of relevant tools and systems to make data analysis and visualize data
- Comfortable in working with Excel, Power BI.
- SKF Automotive Systems knowledge in XA, SAP DOH, SIM is a plus.
- Comfortable working and communicating in English, both spoken and written, in an international environment with a lot of stakeholders on different level of the organization.
- Willingness to travel internationally from time to time.

Some additional information
This position will be located Blue Bell, PA. We are hybrid working in office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. You will report to the Global Product Line Manager for Wheel End.
