Location: Blue Bell, PA

Environment: Hybrid :  Tuesday-Thursday in office 

Reports to: Customer Service Manager, Vehicle Aftermarket

Salary Target: $55,000 - $62,000 

Job Summary:

The Vehicle Aftermarket (VA) is the automotive aftermarket business unit within the SKF Automotive Division. We service the independent aftermarket with products, services and concepts for cars and commercial vehicles. Our customers range from distributors to retailers and garages around the world.  The following position is available in the VA Customer Service Department.

 

This individual must work closely with our external customers and, internally, with our Accounting, Logistics, Pricing, Planning and Sales departments to ensure we exceed customer expectations. The candidate will provide timely, accurate and effective order processing, claims processing, and communications to ensure customer satisfaction for automotive and heavy-duty customers through knowledge and use of SKF support systems. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a cultural shift towards success through curiosity, care, collaboration and courage.
  • Build strong customer relationships by handling phone and email inquiries in a timely and proactive manner
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with sales, logistics, demand chain, finance and other departments to deliver results
  • Resolve customer inquiries, complaints and returns swiftly and effectively
  • Provide insights and recommendations to streamline processes and enhance customer experience
  • Manage customer service duties including (but not limited to) orderbook management, providing price and availability, answering basic product questions and offering alternatives, entering and tracking orders, and expediting deliveries
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
  • Minimum of 2 years in a customer-facing role with a proven ability to deliver positive outcomes
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
  • Advanced proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as COH and SAP
  • Exceptional time management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Strategic decision-maker with solid business acumen
  • Collaborative team player with a commitment to shared success
