We are currently looking for an

Operational Buyer, Vehicle Aftermarket

Location: Blue Bell, PA - hybrid 

Salary: $55,000-$62,000 

Your mission will be to support the Category Managers as well as the Supply Chain team, fostering collaboration and leading cross‑functional projects with the various stakeholders (suppliers, plants, product line managers). The objective is to ensure optimal product availability at the best cost, while accelerating the time‑to‑market for new kits.

Key responsibilities:

  • Opening new suppliers and update / maintain supplier contracts, BOM changes etc. in the MRP systems (XA and DOH)
  • Support the RFQ process working together with the Product Managers and Category Managers
  • Review purchase requisitions and identify sources of supply for spot buys.
  • Single point of contact for RFQ file maintenance, supplier coordination and pricing related issues.
  • Maintain and update the resourcing savings tracker to capture the savings initiated by Category Managers.
  • Support the planners/product managers in terms of creating the new part# and component .
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of Product line/BU specific suppliers.
  • Continuously track supplier performance according to defined QCDIM (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Innovation and Management))
  • Participate as required in global and regional strategic sourcing projects in close collaboration with all stakeholders (category managers, Product Line, Quality, Logistics)
  • Support Purchasing Business Plan, Forecasts and Standard Cost Calculation.
  • Support implementation of new processes and systems, QCDIM, NSDC, CSR & sustainability requirements. Support the factory in NSDC implementation.

We expect you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business from an accredited institution
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in purchasing/Supply chain roles.
  • Quotation and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts (Material planning, Bill of Materials, MRP, Inventory Management, Lead Times etc.)
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written)
  • Ability to document clearly and concisely
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).PA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0 scale.

The position is based in Blue Bell, US, and we require your presence in the office as part of our collaborative work environment.

You will join the team of Nicole Egert, Head of Global Strategic Purchasing VA, who is based at the Schweinfurt site in Germany.
