Summary:

Product Engineering Slewing Ring Bearings (SLB) supports the daily business with technical product expertise and finished product level specifications. Our team has many vital responsibilities that enable new products and variants to end up at the customer. We enable smooth handling of product requests from the customers by providing specifications, product data and new solutions.

 

Your day to day work:

  • Participate in/support Product Development in Product Development Projects with e.g. prototype drawings and industrializing project results
  • Plan, drive, execute and report design requests and engineering tasks with priority to customer enquiries
  • Use and maintain design tools for parametric design of bearing variants and design automation
  • Support manufacturing units globally with finished specification details
  • Create tools to improve and streamline Engineering tasks
  • Work with / develop & maintain generic bearing 3D CAD models for design verification and creation of finished drawings
  • Support Sales/AE with product knowledge
  • Drive product performance benchmarking activities and supply stakeholders with relevant information
  • Drive ICR and Engineering change implementations on design and specification level
  • Assuring consistent manufacturability and robustness of product, to fit application specific requirements
  • Assuring effective alignment with process development and manufacturing capabilities (present and future)
  • Deviation handling

 

We expect you to have:

  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2 years experience in product engineering, project engineering or similar environment.
  • Technical University Degree or proven work experience in machine/mechanical system design that can add value to the department both now and in the future
  • An understanding of large industrial equipment is a plus
  • Broad technical understanding and interest
  • Good communication skill and good knowledge of English, both verbally and in writing
  • Defense engineering design is a plus.
  • Tools requirements:
  • CREO - have good knowledge about parametric design and generic models
  • PDM Link knowledge (PTC Windchill)
  • Experience and exposure to project management
  • Travelling is expected both nationally and internationally (up to 25% of the time the first year, up to 20% on normal basis)
  • The person we are looking for is self-motivated with a high level of own drive and commitment.
  • A team player interested in learning and sharing competencies with others.
  • Must be US Citizen or Greed Card Holder.
