Finance Leader and Business Controller VA Latin Trade and Andean region

Unit/Location: Colombia or Peru

Reports to: Rodrigo Dotto - VA Controller LAM

 

 

Purpose of Position: This is a full value chain controller position. Support the VA Regional Business Controller in co-driving initiatives that enhance effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity across the Latin Trade and Andean businesses. This role plays a key part in enabling data-driven decision-making to support business transformation, sustainable growth, improved profitability, and optimized working capital.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the full value chain of the Vehicle Aftermarket Latin Trade and Andean business performance.
  • Prepare and deliver reliable reports that facilitate decision-making by management.
  • Prepare budgets and strategic plans for the Outlook, Forecast, Business Plan join with the regional controller and the business unit’s management team.
  • Coordinate the accounting activities with FOC.
  • Perform yearly Standard Cost Calculation
  • Ensure that Standard Cost calculation, reporting, accounting and other financial and controlling matters are in line with SKF and local legal requirements. Feel responsibility of accuracy in legal reporting and compliance.
  • Drive change within SKF for continuously improving business support, digitalization and challenge current processes.
  • Control, analyze and approve the costs and expenses that impact the business.
  • Drive actual results for the P&L & Working Capital to achieve/exceed Plan.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and initiate proactive and corrective actions.
  • Provide relevant information to build cost reduction plans.
  • Contribute with capital efficiency by maintaining optimal inventory levels, managing and protecting company assets, constant monitoring of accounts receivable and payable, and maintaining healthy cash flow.
  • Analyze and advise management on business and investment analysis (make/buy/insourcing/outsourcing).
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Several years of controlling and reporting experience.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP).
  • Knowledge of SKF common systems & accounting standards and principles.
  • Curiosity to understand the business, customers, and operations.
  • Strong business sense with a high level of integrity.
  • Determination and experience of implementing changes.
  • Good knowledge of SKF financial processes and tools.
  • Strong capability of driving/performing analysis.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Interest in both developing new as well as challenging old processes and procedures.
  • Interest in people and relationship/network management.
  • English and Spanish communication.
