Data & Search Specialist

 

As a Data & Search Specialist for Enterprise Search, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to optimize and maintain our enterprise search solutions. This role requires a tech-savvy individual with an analytical mindset, who is eager to explore and master search technologies, ensuring that our systems deliver top-tier performance and usability. You will work closely with business and various IT teams to set up and configure workflows, identify enhancements, and support the organization to get the best out of the solution. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • System Configuration & Setup: Lead the setup, configuration, and fine-tuning of enterprise search solutions to meet the specific needs of our business units. 
  • Data Workflow Optimization: Design and implement data workflows that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of search functionalities across the organization. 
  • Information Architecture & Taxonomy Design: Organizing and structuring content to ensure users can easily find and navigate information 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, business units, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of search solutions with other enterprise systems. 
  • Solution owner: leads product development, defines requirements and aligns with business goals, manages roadmap.  
  • Backlog Refinement: Support refinement of the backlog of search-related tasks and projects based on customer interactions.  
  • Team Collaboration: You will support the development team, ensuring alignment with business goals while helping them optimize our enterprise search solution. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Strong technical understanding with a deep interest in enterprise search technologies. 
  • Experience in data analysis and modeling the data 
  • Knowledge of data retrieval and data transformation 
  • Familiarity with data workflow design and optimization 
  • Experience in setting up, configuring, and optimizing software applications 
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills 
  • A degree in a relevant field, such as IT, Data Engineering, or Business Administration 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and regions 
  • A proactive and curious mindset with a passion for mastering new technologies 

 

Meriting technical skills: 

  • Knowledge about search technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, or Microsoft Azure Cognitive Search 
  • Familiarity in the integration of various data sources, including databases, file systems, and cloud storage 
  • Strong understanding of indexing mechanisms and query optimization techniques

Additional Information: 

This position can be based in any of SKF major sites, preferably Gothenburg, Bangalore, Shanghai, Pune, Cajamar/Sao Paolo.
