SAP GTS Implementation and Application Specialist

As SAP GTS Application Expert you will be involved in maintaining and developing SAP GTS in the process area of export control and international trade. You will be working in various projects as a resource to do analysis and requirements gathering as well as setting functional and technical designs on applications used globally at SKF. Projects range from minor enhancements to larger projects. Currently SKF is undergoing quite significant changes. We are enabling a more digital landscape and restructure many internal functions at the same time. This global transformation is driven by a dynamic cross-functional international team working across borders and time zones and we are now looking for you who would like to join SKF in this journey.

As SAP GTS Application Expert you will specialize in application aspects and related technology features. You will add value to SKF with your deep knowledge about the application itself and the E2E IT landscape in which the application is part of and depends upon. You will work closely with the system owner and closely with business owners to understand their needs, gather their requirements, and provide functional solutions.

As SAP GTS Application Expert you will apply Logistic and Compliance concepts and processes into our IT systems. You will take an active role as subject matter expert in various global Logistic and Finance related integration and implementations projects, and to bring the compliance aspects into the IT organisation. The role also includes active participation in Finance transformation driven projects in order to enable smart IT solutions to reduce complexity and to enable our digital solutions roadmap.

Your day-to-day work

• To align with the Business Analysts to capture business needs and translate into functional and non-functional requirements
• To develop and maintain new and existing IT solutions based on global processes and demands
• To develop and control common system applications and templates in alignment with the SAP GTS system owner.
• To align with the Domain Architects on overall IT architecture for Finance and Logistics
• To enable close contact to the Business Transformation Managers, Process owners and Process specialists in various demands on both operational and strategic level
• To act as subject matter expert and or IT project manager in various projects where logistic applications and processes are in scope.
• To optimize end-to-end operations and performance cross processes and cross vendor deliveries
• To work closely with all business partners and IT suppliers to ensure full cross stream integration.
• Assist IT suppliers in the architectural design discussion of proposed solutions
• To provide analysis and documentation of the current business processes.
• To develop and perform integration tests and support in user acceptance testing.
• To support the implementation of the new global solutions in the local units.
• Support the user community by providing training and materials for financial processes and tasks when required

We expect you to have/be

• Knowledge and experience in Logistics, especially International Trade and Export Control processes and methods.
• Very good knowledge in SAP GTS and related SAP modules
• Experience in driving application efficiency matters and in advice in lowering operational costs
• Experience in integrations of SAP GTS with other ERP systems than SAP
• High communication skills in English, both written and oral
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office
• University degree in Business Administration or any other relevant field

Meritorious

• Good understanding of Logistics impacts on co-existing processes such as sales, purchasing and finance.
• Experience in IT project management
