Global Business Master Data Specialist
The SKF Lubrication Lifetime Solutions business is on a journey to build a global end‑to‑end digital backbone, anchored by the global Lubrication SAP system. Operating in a multi‑ERP environment, we know that clean, governed, and globally consistent master data is a prerequisite for efficient and reliable business processes.
Master data is the foundation of key activities such as supply chain planning, sales, customer delivery, pricing, costing, and reporting. As Global Business Master Data Specialist, you will play a central role in ensuring high‑quality global business master data and in setting up and running our global master data governance framework.
What you can expect in the role:
In this role, you will ensure global business master data quality and governance across the organization. Your key responsibilities include:
- Maintain and safeguard global Business Master Data, by e.g. running and coordinating a global Master Data Stewards network, guiding or contributing to IT and process projects related to business master data, etc.
- Translate business requirements related to master data management into IT demands.
- Define standards, rules, and knowledge transfer for Business Master Data maintenance.
- Be responsible for process design and process alignment within the master data domain, including design and implementation of master data workflows and approval processes.
- Collaborate closely with global, cross‑functional stakeholders, including Global IT, Finance & Controlling, Product Development & Engineering, Sales, Business Line, Supply Chain and Operation.
What we expect you to have:
- Well‑versed in ERP systems, preferably SAP, with deep understanding of master data and its impact on end‑to‑end business processes.
- Solid business background, for example from Customer Service, Supply Chain, or similar business functions.
- Proficient in project execution and cross‑functional collaboration, with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and effective communication, fluent in English.
- Ability to combine technical, process, and business perspectives, in a role that requires both ownership and collaboration.
- Experience working with interfaced systems and platforms in addition to SAP and experience with transition from ECC to S/4HANA will be considered an advantage.

Additional information
This position will be located in Bangalore & Pune (India), Chodov (Czech Republic), Saint Louis (US), Berlin & Walldorf (Germany), on local contract.
You will in this role belong to the global IT organisation within Lubrication, and report to the Manager Logistics Systems & Global Master Data, who is located in Walldorf, Germany.
