New Product Introduction Project Manager

Engineer-to-order (ETO) is SKF’s project management business process for introducing strategic new products to our customers.
The ETO project manager is responsible for strategically steering all aspects of new aerospace customer projects through the ETO process to deliver the project on-cost, on-schedule, and with quality to our customers. The project manager leads multi-disciplinary teams consisting of sales, engineering, testing, manufacturing, supply chain and supplier management.
Daily activities include project schedule and deliverable management, risk management, and effective communication to ensure achievement of project goals and milestones. Key interfaces are with project teams, sponsors, and steering groups, as well as with customers.
The project manager is the local process expert on ETO and is responsible for deployment and continuous improvement of the process at the manufacturing unit.
The project manager works with the larger SKF Aerospace team of project managers delivering new customer projects from all aerospace manufacturing units. This global team brings game-changing products to the aerospace industry’s most demanding applications.
Requirements:
- Experience leading projects in a team environment
- Proficient spoken and written communications skills, fluent in English
- Master’s Degree in engineering or similar
The following qualifications are considered a plus
- Project management certification
- Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP+)
- Experience with Aerostructure products
- Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally on a limited basis

Some additional information
The ETO project manager position is located in Clevedon (UK) within the SKF Aerospace Business Unit, supporting the Aerostructures product line, on local contract.
You will report to the ETO Project Manager EU, who is located in France.
