JOB TITLE: Sales & Application Engineer (m/f) - Saudi Arabia
Location: Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia
Reporting to: Manager Segments Product Sales and Sales Manager Iraq
- Purpose of the role:
Based on customers’ needs, promote SKF know-how and value proposition in line with strategy. Propose and deliver techno-commercial solutions in cooperation with the sales force to drive sustained, profitable growth in assigned accounts/segments. Manage technical relationships with customers by responding to enquiries, supporting complaint handling, evaluating technical risks, and enabling seamless order conversion. Act as a bridge between customers, sales, and internal engineering/design teams, while contributing to internal and external technical trainings.
- Responsibilities
Account Growth & Key Customer Management
- Build key account/segment strategy (including forecast and plans) aligned to SKF strategy to achieve growth and profitability targets.
- Drive SKF key account management process/tools to achieve annual growth and margin targets.
- Acquire a holistic understanding of customer needs and map customer organization at all levels to derive insights and influence decisions.
- Identify and develop value-based opportunities with customers for win-win outcomes through OEMs and/or distribution networks (as applicable).
- Ensure funnel management for effective opportunity tracking and conversion.
Techno-commercial Solutioning & Value Proposition
- Develop techno-commercial solutions for customer requirements and leads generated, in collaboration with the sales team.
- Work on value proposition and adopt new products/technology to ensure competitiveness.
- Support order conversion by providing timely, accurate and compelling offers and technical documentation.
Stakeholder & Interface Management
- Serve as a bridge between customers, sales and back-end design/engineering teams to ensure clear translation of requirements and feasible solutions.
- Ensure seamless connect between consultants, actual users and original equipment manufacturers where relevant to the solution.
- Participate actively in contract review, design review, risk assessment and complaint (TER) handling.

- Revenue and margin achievement (annual targets).
- On-time offer submission (response time as per due dates).
- Offer-to-order conversion and hit ratio year-on-year.
- Organic business growth through solution offerings (as applicable).
- Account receivables (as applicable to role scope).

- Piping (process piping) and ability to interpret manufacturing drawings.
- Tools: AutoCAD, 3D SolidWorks, SAP and C4C.
E. Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
- Registered member in the Saudi Council of Engineers.
- Fresh graduate, up to 3 years of experience in a sales/technical role.
- Bilingual, Arabic and English.
- Good commercial and technical aptitude.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- General industry knowledge with strong ability to communicate technical details.
