Compliance & Ethics Officer
SKF Automotive Business

SKF Automotive is shaping a new future, and in 2026, we aim to become an independent company listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. To our Group Compliance & Ethics Function, we are searching for an experienced professional who wants to take their expertise and evolve a compliance function for the global automotive market together with the team. This role combines strategic development with hands-on implementation of the Compliance & Ethics process and programs. You will work closely with business and regional teams, providing operational support as well as governance, training, and risk assessments.

One of your main projects will be to develop, implement, and take responsibility for the Trade Compliance Program, including sanctions, export control, and third-party risk management. As the function evolves, other areas such as anti-corruption may come into scope. This role offers you the chance to apply your expertise while exploring new areas of compliance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the Export Control & Sanctions Compliance Program, including third party risk management, coordinating implementation across business and regional areas as SKF Automotive transitions to independence.

  • Advise and support operations and other functions on trade compliance matters, including reviewing contracts and managing third-party risk.

  • Conduct risk assessment and support operations with advisory opinions, product classification and determining export license requirements.

  • Support with and conduct due diligence and sanctions screening on high-risk business partners and transactions.

  • Maintain documentation to support audits and regulatory inquiries.

  • Educate employees, suppliers, and stakeholders on export control and sanctions regulations.

  • Monitor legal and geopolitical developments within the field of trade compliance and third-party risk management.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in law, international business, trade or related field.

  • Extensive experience in compliance and ethics, including direct responsibility in similar positions.

  • Strong knowledge of EU regulatory requirements in relation to trade sanctions and export control. Knowledge of US and other local regulatory requirements is desirable.

  • Experience working with the development or improvement of compliance programs in a multinational environment, including experience and ability to lead projects/programs and influence stakeholders across regions.

  • Proficiency in business English, including both written and verbal communication.

You will enjoy working here if you:

  • Are structured and analytical, able to manage complex frameworks without losing sight of the bigger picture.

  • Can find practical, business-friendly solutions while ensuring compliance standards are met.

  • Have high integrity and build strong relationships across functions to drive understanding and adherence.

  • Act confidently as a trusted advisor in challenging situations.

  • Appreciate working in a collaborative, international, and transformative environment.

SKF Automotive is committed to creating a diverse environment, and we firmly believe that a diverse workforce is essential for our continued success. Therefore, we only focus on your experience, skills, and potential. Come as you are – just be yourself. #weareSKF
