Customs Expert

 

SKF is looking for an experienced Customs Expert to join our customs team in Sweden. In this role, you will be the go‑to expert for customs matters in Sweden, the Nordics, and Poland, while working closely with our wider Europe & Africa customs network.

 

You will have a key role in ensuring compliant and efficient cross‑border trade and in supporting SKF’s ongoing customs transformation. If you enjoy blending practical customs work with advisory responsibilities and process improvement, this role is for you.

 

What you can expect in the role

In this expert role, you will:

  • Act as a subject matter expert for customs compliance within your scope
  • Interpret customs legislation and turn it into clear, business‑ready solutions
  • Own and improve customs processes for import, export, transit, and special procedures
  • Advise on origin, free trade agreements, and customs documentation
  • Maintain and develop AEO compliance and internal controls
  • Support permits, reporting requirements, and contacts with customs authorities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and harmonization across Europe & Africa

 

 

We expect you to have:

  • A university degree in logistics, international trade or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • Several years of experience working with advanced customs matters in an international setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Swedish customs rules, the Union Customs Code, and EU regulations
  • Practical experience with AEO compliance and customs systems (for example, import/export and transit systems)
  • Good knowledge of origin rules and free trade agreements
  • Fluency in Swedish and English

This position is located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
You will report to Silvia Kostadinov, Regional Customs Manager, Europe & Africa, located in Gothenburg.
