Group Accountant
Group Accountant
Working in this team provides many challenging and rewarding tasks, including contacts with over 200 subsidiaries to contacts with management, and from understanding International Financial Reporting Standards to applying them practically in the financial reporting of the Group. The team strives for quick and correct reporting, and to continuously look for ways to do things better.
Key responsibilities
- Take part in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings for the Group and Business Areas, performing necessary consolidation entries
- Prepare financial analyses for Group Management
- Prepare financial data included in the Group’s public financial reporting.
- Monitor IFRS development and update the Group's reporting instructions, consolidation, and reporting routines as necessary
- Participate in improvement activities in financial reporting and consolidation
- Provide support to (requiring significant communication with) subsidiaries, business areas, and other management teams throughout the Group on accounting and reporting issues
- Take an active part in training subsidiaries
- Represent SKF Group Finance in ad hoc projects
Requirements
- You hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or equivalent
- Extensive experience in accounting
- You have proficient communication skills in English, both written and spoken, as well as solid skills in Excel
- You have several years of experience in group consolidation and working with IFRS

Some additional information
Location: Gothenburg, Sweden. Local contract in AB SKF. Please note that we will not be providing support with relocation.
You will report to the Manager of Group Accounting & Reporting, located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
