Head of Corporate Legal HQ – SKF Automotive Business
We are seeking a business minded senior lawyer to build up and manage our Corporate legal operations at our Headquarter in Gothenburg. In this newly shaped role, you will have the unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of SKF’s Automotive Business. You will play a crucial part in shaping our new legal department, which mission is to contribute to the business's success. The ideal candidate will possess a keen interest in driving efficiencies and utilizing legal technology to enhance the legal function.
In collaboration with the General Counsel, you will have the chance to establish a function that meets the standards of a listed company on Nasdaq Stockholm and to provide legal guidance across various pertinent areas, including commercial and corporate matters, governance, finance law, capital market law, brand protection, licensing arrangements, and M&A. You will be instrumental in supporting and driving our strategies, addressing complex legal matters, and contributing to our separate listing on Nasdaq Stockholm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Corporate legal operations at the headquarters in Gothenburg
- Drive efficiencies and leverage legal technology to enhance the legal function.
- Offer comprehensive legal guidance across multiple domains such as commercial and corporate law, governance, financial regulations, capital markets, brand safeguarding, licensing agreements, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Support and execute strategies addressing complex legal matters.
- Contribute to the separate listing on Nasdaq Stockholm.
Qualifications:
- Master of Laws (LL.M) or equivalent legal degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial law, practicing both at a law firm and within a multinational company. Experience in corporate governance is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in managing complex legal matters and providing strategic legal advice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated interest in legal technology and driving efficiencies within the legal function.
- Proficiency in business English and Swedish, including both written and verbal communication
