Head of Internal Control
– Automotive Business


As Head of Internal Control, you will lead and have global functional responsibility for internal control over financial reporting in the SKF Automotive Group. You’ll report directly to the Head of Group Risk & Assurance in Group Finance and play a key role in shaping a robust control environment that ensures the accuracy and quality of our financial reporting.

 

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Lead a senior team and a global internal control network
  • Develop and implement group-wide internal control requirements
  • Own and evolve the Automotive Internal Control Process
  • Align controls with policies, directives, and business needs
  • Drive continuous improvement and digitalization of control processes
  • Plan and coordinate internal control testing activities
  • Act as product owner for the Internal Control tool (ServiceNow IRM)
  • Report regularly to Automotive Group Management and the Audit Committee
  • Support risk management and internal control awareness across the group
  • Deliver training and guidance to key stakeholders


We expect you to have

  • A university degree in finance or accounting
  • Several years of experience in senior financial roles (e.g., internal audit, financial reporting, internal control)
  • Proven leadership experience, ideally in a global or matrix organization
  • Experience from an audit firm is a plus
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and risk-based control frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
