SKF Industrial Sales Sweden is part of SKF’s Nordic sales organization, employing around 140 people across Sweden. We are responsible for delivering SKF’s products and service solutions to industrial customers and operate in a changing, collaborative environment where customer focus and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do. We aim to support Swedish industry in improving competitiveness by applying our knowledge of rotating equipment and machinery.

Key Account Manager – Security & Defense

 

Do you have a passion for techniques, sales, and strategic customer engagement in the defense industry? Are you skilled at building long-term relationships with key stakeholders and navigating complex procurement environments? If so, we would like to hear from you. We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to drive growth and grow our position within the Nordic security and defense market.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute account strategies for key defense customers.
  • Build and maintain close relationships with military, government, and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Manage sales activities from opportunity identification through contract award.
  • Work closely with technical, operational, and executive teams to deliver customer solutions.
  • Monitor market developments, procurement plans, and industry trends.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements.
  • Participate in national defense organizations

 

Requirements

  • Military background or military service, existing network with defense organizations and industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with government procurement processes is a plus.
  • Relevant experience in B2B sales, business development, or key account management.
  • Broad understanding of the defense, aerospace, or security sector.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English and Swedish language.
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset.
  • Trusted advisor capable of building credibility at all organizational levels.
  • Team-oriented professional with a customer-centered approach.

Some additional information 

This position will be located in Gothenburg, Sweden. The position involves frequent travel and overnight stays, primarily within Central Sweden.
