Lead FEA Engineer  
Automotive Business 

  

Join us as a Lead FEA Engineer and shape the future of FE simulation tools. You'll define best practices, write and validate work instructions, and support automation efforts. As an advanced FE user, you'll mentor others and lead structural simulations for product engineering and R&D teams. 


Key responsibilities   

  • Develop and co-own the FE simulation tool roadmap. 
  • Define and optimize ANSYS usage within the simulation community. 
  • Perform advanced structural simulations, including fatigue, thermal, dynamic, and harmonic analysis. 
  • Preprocess complex housing/component geometry and create .cdb files. 
  • Establish and cascade best practices for FEA models. 
  • Support daily users with template-based models and macros. 
  • Lead continuous improvement and development activities. 
  • Mitigate technical risks via virtual tools and create test plans. 
  • Maintain APDL and Python repository for automation and data processing. 
  • Serve as the technical interface to software vendors and internal teams, while mentoring advanced users. 
  • Serve as the technical lead for software functionality and maintenance. 

  

Requirements  

  • Expert-level experience in FE software (e.g. ANSYS and/or Abaqus)
  • Proficiency in Creo and/or SpaceClaim for geometry creation and modification. 
  • Experience with APDL, Fortran, and Python. 
  • Master's degree in engineering. 
  • Ability to work between physical test data and simulation. 
  • Fluent in English.
