PIM Product Owner Vehicle Aftermarket – Automotive Business

 

In the role as PIM Product  Owner within SKF Vehicle Aftermarket (VA) Business, you will lead the management and optimization of our global Product Information Management (PIM) system. This includes aligning it with business goals and ensuring high-quality data governance and stakeholder satisfaction. 

 

By shaping an efficient PIM system and processes, you’ll be part of driving the future success for VA. You’ll be collaborating with stakeholders across the globe and promoting data citizenship and enhancing data literacy with various teams within VA Business Unit. You will also be working with cutting-edge technology and steering impactful system improvements. Our PIM solution's vision is to support sales success by fostering a culture where data-driven decision-making is at the forefront, ensuring that every team member understands and utilizes data effectively to drive business success. 
 

Responsibilities:

  • PIM System Management: Own and optimize the PIM solution, ensuring efficient product data management globally.
  • Product information strategy: Develop and oversee the strategy for managing product information, aligning it with business goals, communicate with stakeholders, act as liaison between Product Lines and System Experts, and manage expectations.
  • Project management: Lead projects to enhance and optimize data deliverables, ensuring successful execution.
  • Reporting and analytics: Generate insights and reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • User training and support: Develop training materials, conduct sessions, and provide ongoing support.
  • Vendor management: Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure they deliver value.
  • Continuous improvement: Evaluate and improve the PIM processes and toolchain. Identify optimization opportunities, strengthen data culture across the organization, and implement best practices.

 

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of PIM ecosystems and data management principles.
  • Strong project management skills and used to work with the Scrum framework and Agile methodologies.
  • Proficient in requirements management and communication.
  • Understanding of the automotive aftermarket and industry standards (e.g., TecDoc, AutoCare).
  • Technical aptitude for MDM systems, ERP systems, digital asset management, and e-commerce platforms along with basic knowledge of integration management and the integration of data for analytical purposes (e.g., data to Snowflake).
  • Ability to integrate related technologies with the PIM ecosystem.

This position can be located in any main Automotive site, preferably in EMEA; Schweinfurt in Germany, Saint-Cyr in France, Gothenburg in Sweden or Airasca in Italy.
