PLM Product Manager
In this role you are responsible for defining and executing the strategy, roadmap, and business value realization of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform. You act as the bridge between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Service, and IT, ensuring that product data and processes are managed effectively throughout the entire product lifecycle.
The PLM Product Manager guide the evolution of PLM capabilities, enabling digital continuity, improved engineering efficiency, product data quality, and seamless integration with enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, CAD, Requirements Management, and Design Automation solutions. In this role you will ensure that investments in PLM deliver measurable business outcomes and support the company's digital transformation strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the PLM product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap.
- Align PLM investments with business objectives, business priorities, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through enhanced PLM capabilities.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in PLM, Digital Thread, Digital Twin, AI, and Model-Based Engineering.
- Translate business requirements into product features, epics, and user stories.
- Balance strategic initiatives, technical debt, and enhancement requests.
- Work with development teams, architects, and vendors to deliver roadmap and ensure understanding of business priorities and expected outcomes.
- Facilitate workshops to capture business requirements and define future-state processes; develop communication, training, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Build alignment among stakeholders and facilitate decision-making across multiple business functions.
- Present roadmap progress, risks, and business benefits to leadership teams.
- Drive user adoption and organizational readiness.measure it and continuously improve user experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- A few years of experience in a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Architect, or similar strategic role
- Several years of experience in Product Lifecycle Management, Engineering Systems, Product Data Management, or Digital Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale PLM transformation initiatives.
- Experience with one or more PLM platforms (Windchill, Teamcenter, SAP) and with ERP integration (SAP preferred).
- Experience with Manufacturing Engineering and MES integrations.
- Knowledge of CAD integrations (Creo, NX, CATIA, SolidWorks).
- Understanding of cloud-based architectures and enterprise integrations.
- Certifications in SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner, Agile Product Management, or PLM-related domains.
