Are you passionate about driving automation and digital transformation through modern technologies? At SKF Automotive’s Data Factory, we’re looking for a Product Owner who thrives in a strategic and hands-on environment and wants to shape the future of automation across our global operations.  

As a Product Owner you will drive initiatives focused on Power Platform and RPA, define governance frameworks, foster adoption, and deliver scalable, secure solutions that create lasting business value. You will lead the strategy and execution of automation initiatives, working closely with stakeholders to define architecture principles, governance models, and delivery frameworks. You’ll build and scale automation communities, drive innovation through emerging technologies, and ensure compliance with licensing and data privacy standards. 

 

What you can expect in the role 

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for automation initiatives, ensuring they drive business value and support long-term organizational goals. 

  • Define architecture principles and governance frameworks for automation platforms, including lifecycle management for automation solutions. 

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, manage expectations, and ensure that architecture decisions support business outcomes.  

  • Lead the Power Platform community, identify automation opportunities, and foster cross-functional collaboration to scale impact. 

  • Set up vendor partnerships and delivery frameworks that allow external teams to contribute while maintaining agility and control. 

  • Implement governance, licensing, and data privacy standards across automation solutions. 

  • Assess the financial viability of automation initiatives, maintaining oversight of run costs and resource allocation to ensure strategic alignment and cost-effectiveness. 

  • Monitor KPIs and continuously improve automation processes and platforms to ensure cost-effectiveness and strategic alignment. 

We expect you to have 

  • Academic background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, or a related field 

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Project Manager in automation or data-centric environments 

  • Hands-on expertise in Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio) and experience with at least one major RPA technology (e.g. UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism etc) 

  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and licensing in automation ecosystems 

  • Relevant certifications such as PL-200, PL-400, PL-600, PMI, PRINCE2, IPMA, or IREB 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead organisation-wide change management and digital upskilling programs.

This role can be located at any of SKF Automotive sites globally, and the preferred locations is Gothenburg - Sweden, Bangalore - India, Poznan - Poland. You will report to the Head of Data Factory.
