CAPEX and Facility Management

 

 

We are looking for a motivated and commercially driven Senior Buyer Sweden for CAPEX and Facility Management. This important role combines strategic sourcing with practical procurement responsibility for Sweden. You will oversee complex sourcing initiatives, negotiate high-value agreements, improve supplier performance and create measurable business value across SKF.

 

 

About the role

CAPEX and Facility Management are critical categories for SKF’s operational performance, workplace environment, sustainability agenda, and investment projects. You will manage sourcing activities, manage supplier relationships, negotiate and implement contracts and ensure that business requirements are translated into competitive, compliant, and sustainable procurement solutions.

 

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Lead strategic, tactical, and operational sourcing initiatives, supplier selections, negotiations and contract implementation with significant business impact. 
  • Support CAPEX projects in Sweden, ensuring procurement involvement throughout the asset lifecycle. Lead sourcing, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract management for IDM&S led CAPEX activities, while collaborating with the Global team on larger strategic investment. Act as the procurement focal point for Total Cost of Ownership, coordinating cross-functional input and evaluating acquisition costs, operating expenses, maintenance requirements, energy consumption, lifecycle risks and sustainability considerations to provide fact based commercial recommendation to support informed investment decisions and long-term value creation. Identify and realize cost reduction, value creation, demand management and supplier optimization opportunities. 
  • Act as the procurement business partner for Swedish factories and operations, providing professional purchasing support and ensuring alignment with global category strategies. 
  • Establish and maintain a competitive, capable, and resilient supplier base focused on quality, cost, delivery, innovation, sustainability and risk mitigation. 
  • Negotiate and manage complex commercial agreements within CAPEX, Facility Management, technical services, construction and property-related project contracts. 
  • Drive proactive Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) with key suppliers, including performance follow-up, capacity planning, continuous improvement, risk management and contract governance. 
  • Lead cross-functional sourcing projects in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. 
  • Ensure recurring service suppliers operate under standardized contracts, competitive commercial models, appropriate capacity and efficient request-to-order processes. 
  • Drive efficient and standardized Procure-to-Pay processes (P2P), governance and compliance across the category scope. 
  • Monitor market developments, cost drivers, supplier capabilities, and emerging risks to identify new opportunities and support fact-based decisions. 

 

 

Main Requirements:

  • A relevant university degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Economics or an equivalent field. 
  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant procurement experience, with a strong background in strategic sourcing, negotiation and contract management. 
  • Experience in CAPEX, Facility Management, Construction, Technical Services, Real Estate, or comparable indirect categories is a strong advantage. 
  • A proven track record of leading complex sourcing projects and delivering measurable business value. 
  • Strong commercial judgment and the confidence to lead complex negotiations with suppliers and senior stakeholders. 
  • Solid knowledge of the contractor and supplier market for Facility Management, property services, construction, and technical services. 
  • Knowledge of Swedish contractor law and agreement structures within construction and property-related projects, such as AB04, ABT06 etc. 
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements that support operational needs while managing legal and commercial risk. 
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects, influence without formal authority and drive change across organizational boundaries. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience working with local and global stakeholders and senior management. 
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Additional information

The position will be based in Gothenburg, Sweden, on a local contract. You will report to Malin Jönsson, IDM&S Operations Manager in Sweden.
