Senior IT Project Manager


We are looking for a senior IT project manager for projects within SKF. At SKF IT we provide resources and process to the global organisation. We are steered by the business community that provides business cases and development needs to meet the future SKF.
In an ever-changing environment we need to adapt and adjust every step of the way. In your job as a senior IT project manager it will be crucial in knowing how to address any given situation. You are fluent in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and know when to apply what. In your role you are bold and fearless, but you never forget to care for your team and provide them with a clear vision and goal.


Your day-to-day work 

  • Identify major business changes
  • Manage projects effectively, incl. project costs, time, scope, resources, quality, risk and issues
  • Report and collaborate with the Project’s Steering committee and interact with the Transformation community and other key stakeholders
  • Manage solution design and secure the end-to-end integrated processes with legacy landscape
  • Manage the hand-over of the solution to the IT Operation organization
  • Manage the delivery of system documentation and training material


We expect you to have/be 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Project Management of IT projects, covering business process engineering and IT solution development
  • Willing to travel and to work in an international environment
  • A focus on the objectives and find ways to reach them. You are committed to deliver within time and budget frames
  • Successful experience in interacting with senior managers and stakeholders to generate commitment and drive for business change
  • Proven success in coaching, leading, motivating and developing team members. Good leadership experience from leading multicultural teams in multiple locations
  • Proven experience in working in a complex environment managing uncertainty and challenges
  • Certified Project Manager (preferably in both agile and waterfall methodologies)
  • BS in Systems Analysis, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Fluent in English is a prerequisite


This would be an advantage

  • Experience from working in SAP projects
  • Experience of ERP implementation projects
  • Good knowledge of SKF’s business and existing IT environment

Additional information for you 
Location: Gothenburg, Sweden. Local contract in AB SKF. 


The SKF IT provides strategic IT support to the SKF organization by developing sound strategies and managing selected service providers. We have presence in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
