Senior PLM Solution Architect 
Automotive Business 

  

  

As a Senior PLM Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in our PLM Team. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into cutting-edge technical solutions. This is your opportunity to lead the design and implementation of PLM solutions that will drive our business forward. 

  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Innovate and Translate: Convert business needs into functional and technical requirements. 
  • Design Excellence: Craft PLM solutions using Windchill PDMLink, ThingWorx, Creo, and other enterprise systems like ERP and MES. 
  • Implement and Support: Deploy technology solutions that enhance business operations and understand their critical success factors. 
  • Data Mastery: Maintain a PLM data model that meets both internal and external requirements. 
  • Architectural Leadership: Develop and sustain the overall PLM architecture, ensuring seamless integration with key enterprise systems. 
  • Strategic Roadmapping: Define technology roadmaps based on the PLM strategy, ensuring new capabilities and solutions are developed accordingly. 
  • Collaborative Workshops: Participate in workshops to identify new opportunities, capture requirements, evaluate risks, and create technical specifications for development teams and external partners. 
  • Seamless Handover: Ensure successful implementation of proposed solutions by handing over detailed solution documents to development teams. 
  • Future-Ready: Build new system configurations and customisation/development teams to meet future PLM requirements. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Master's/bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.  
  • General Management or Project Management certification is a plus. 
  • 10 years of relevant functional work experience, including at least 5 years in leading PLM solutions development. 
  • Proven experience with Windchill PDMLink, Info*Engine, ThingWorx, and Creo Parametric. 
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in verbal and written English, and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organisation. 
  • Ability to convert customer needs into tangible deliverables. 
  • Ability to propose and defend technical solutions with both short- and long-term perspectives.
