Sustainability Controller
Automotive Business

As a Sustainability Controller, you will be part of the Group Accounting and Reporting Team. Together with another Sustainability Controller, you will lead ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) reporting processes, coordinate end-to-end sustainability reporting across SKF Automotive, and deliver insights to a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll have a comprehensive view of legal, internal, and external sustainability reporting requirements, and collaborate closely with teams across the organization—building a global network along the way.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and continuously improve sustainability reporting processes
- Validate and analyze sustainability data and narratives for external disclosures
- Prepare content for external and management reporting in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Monitor control performance and enhance data quality
- Interpret and communicate regulatory requirements (CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy)
- Manage the Double Materiality Assessment (DMA) process
- Provide guidance, support, and training to colleagues involved in sustainability reporting
- Represents sustainability reporting in various management forums, providing expert insight into sustainability reporting topics, risks, and compliance readiness
- Coordinate sustainability assurance activities
- Identify and translate business needs into sustainability reporting solutions
We expect you to have
- A university degree in finance, sustainability, or a related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in finance, sustainability, or another relevant function
- At least 2 years of practical experience in sustainability reporting, preferably in a larger international organization
- Extensive knowledge of reporting processes and development
- Familiarity with current and emerging sustainability regulations and trends
- Effective in conveying messages, engaging others, and leading oneself
- A solid understanding of sustainability’s role in business strategy
- Strategic thinking and the ability to communicate effectively at executive level

Additional information for you
The location for this position is Gothenburg, Sweden (local contract).
To begin with these positions will report to Susanne Lager, Head of Sustainability Reporting SKF Industrial. During 2026, these roles will be part of the SKF Automotive Business.
