Technical Lead - AI & Automation

Do you thrive at the forefront of AI innovation and enterprise automation? At SKF Automotive’s Data Factory, we’re looking for a Technical Lead who combines visionary thinking with hands-on execution to shape the future of intelligent automation. In this role, you will architect and deliver AI-powered solutions using Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry and advanced ML technologies.
You’ll build scalable agentic automation frameworks, lead strategic initiatives, and drive adoption across the organization. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll define governance models, foster innovation, and ensure compliance with security and data standards. This is a key role in transforming how we work through AI-driven process integration and intelligent data workflows.
What you can expect in the role
- Own the AI and automation roadmap, driving integrated, intelligent workflows across the organization
- Design and architect scalable agentic AI systems that combine rule-based automation with generative AI to enable adaptive, autonomous decision-making
- Enable non-technical users through intuitive, natural‑language interactions with enterprise data using tools like Copilot Studio
- Build and lead an internal agentic AI community by providing training, reference architectures, and best‑practice solution designs
- Manage the commercial and operational performance of automation platforms, including cost optimization, ROI tracking, and monitoring
- Establish responsible AI governance, ethics, and compliance in close collaboration with security and risk teams
- Develop metadata-aware AI agents to improve data integration, traceability, and contextual understanding
- Mentor technical teams and collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and IT to align AI delivery with strategic goals
You will enjoy working here if you have
- A relevant academic background in computer science, software engineering, cloud computing, or a related technical field, combined with several years of experience in automation, AI/ML, or technical leadership roles
- Hands-on experience building and operating production-grade GenAI solutions using platforms such as Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, or similar technologies
- Strong knowledge of agentic AI architectures, including RAG, memory systems, multi-agent orchestration, and secure federation frameworks for scalable, interoperable agents
- A solid understanding of cloud architecture, data engineering workflows, enterprise systems, and modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks), with prior exposure to ML/AIOps practices
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver high-impact solutions in complex, cross-functional environments

Some additional information
This position is located at any of SKF Automotive's main sites in Cajamar (Brazil), Puebla (Mexico), or Gothenburg (Sweden).
Employment will be on a local contract, and therefore, you need to live in the region and be able to commute to our site several times per week.
