UX Design Lead

SKF’s Digital Product Design team is looking for a UX Lead who enjoys the challenges of designing enterprise solutions at scale. You should have experience leading and driving design consensus with your fellow designers, product teams and product management across a portfolio of applications with a strong focus on user centricity, collaboration and using design to enable business objectives. 

 If you enjoy connecting the problem to the solution and get satisfaction of working strategically as well as doing the hands-on-work, this role is for you!  

UX Design Lead 

You will join an established design team made up of UX leads, UX designers, UI designers, as well as service designers. We work with customers, users, sales, product development and product management and together deliver global solutions. Our team is part of SKF’s Digital Engineering Innovation organization where we play a crucial role in developing the digital landscape of SKF. 

 
Key Responsibilities

• To drive the overall user experience and alignment of the software within your area of responsibility to meet user needs and business goals
• Collaborate and facilitate discussions across product design, product development, and product management to achieve alignment and consensus on decisions
• To empower designers in your team with clarity, scope, and direction
• To be the voice of the design team and the user during strategic and planning discussions
• To push the importance of design, design thinking and having a user centred approach to software development and product management
• To shape and deliver on Digital Product Design team’s strategy and way of working alongside other designers 

Your profile

• At least 5 year’s professional experience working as a designer  
• Experience leading other designers
• University degree within a design, creative field, or human behaviour related field
• Demonstrated abilities to drive discussions, workshops and have critical thinking to meet business goals
• Experience working within enterprise solutions within large to mid-sized organisations
• Proficient in English and Swedish
