Indirect Material Buyer

Job Title: IDM&S Buyer (Indirect Material and Services)

Job Objective: Execute IDM&S operational purchases to support countries and factories. Support the implementation of strategic sourcing results in countries and factories and promote operational efficiency in countries. Work closely with internal stakeholders and execute local purchasing activities. Implement contracts, agreements, and new processes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform local purchases according to defined strategies and frameworks.
• Negotiate and sign local agreements up to a defined and regionally agreed value.
• Review purchase requests and identify supply sources for spot purchases.
• Advise internal clients on purchasing issues, providing support and guidance at all stages of the purchasing cycle.
• Participate as needed in global and regional strategic sourcing projects.
• Participate in local sourcing initiatives.
• Execute operations in accordance with SKF's Code of Conduct, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) policies, and Quality Policies, and work according to SKF's Quality Management System. If the operation is EHS certified, work according to SKF's EHS Management System.

Requirements:

• University degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, or related fields.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the automotive sector.
• Fluent in English.
• Negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Desired knowledge of SKF systems: XA-Citrix MAPICS, ARIBA, SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
