JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title:      Process Engineer

Reports To:          Deputy General Manager - Manufacturing, ME and SPS

Location:              Haridwar Factory

Responsibilities:

• Pure Output Increase as per Plan
• Zero Defect project drive at shopfloor  - Tech Feature & Process capability & reliability  Projects
• SPS Stability Tools Implementation
• Align & drive function requirements as SKF production system.
• Increase no of  ASO Variants & Volume
• ETO /APQP/PPAP Steps & Deliverables for all Product Development
• ECM Steps & Deliverables for all Process Development activities
• Cost Saving projects on Fund the journey ( shop supply cost saving )
• To provide engineering support to manufacturing areas.
• To develop/preset modules for grinding and assembly machines, to enable resetting activities.
• To compile quality system documentation for channel engineering activities and PPE as authorized by the head of ME.
• To initiate improvement activities based on the feedback of internal and external customers and quality system audits.
• To establish and document relevant procedures for preparing drawing to ensure the requirements of Quality Manual – Qd are met.
• To monitor the administration of drawings preparation and to maintain quality documents and records.
• To verify and approve the original drawings prepared at SKF Haridwar.
• To ensure that all uniform drawing numbering system for all drawings prepared at SKF Haridwar. To ensure that all engineering drawings are prepared as per drawing principles.\
• To ensure that drawings for trial parts are prepared when applicable.
• To make capacity calculations in view of the optimum utilization of plant & machinery.
• To forecast and plan additional investments based on strategic decisions to maintain annual growth rate.
• To monitor & improve channel OEE
• To co-ordinate and monitor channel resetting for Internal improvements and group reporting.
• To compile quality system documents for industrial engineering and ME as authorized by the head of ME, prepare the bill of material, collect data for product cost estimation, collect data for tooling cost estimation and lead time.

Education & Experience

• Minimum 5years as Process Engineer practitioner & total 8years of Experience.
• Experience of working with CFT and full value chain..
• Strong functional knowledge of Core tools, Statistical tools, DOE, Six sigma
• Problem solving & troubleshooting
• Tooling’s design (Autocad) & development
• NPD & Process development projects
• Exposure of lean manufacturing
