Account Manager
In this role, you will strategically contribute to expanding our market position in the Netherlands. You merge your extensive commercial knowledge with a sound technical basis to establish enduring, strategic relationships with clients, distributors, and teams at SKF. You understand your customers’ challenges and needs, and translate these into suitable solutions, positioning SKF as their preferred supplier for critical applications. You are responsible for growth, customer satisfaction, and broadening our presence within your region.
Your key responsibilities
Strategic Account Management:
- Manage, maintain, and further develop existing accounts in the South/Central region of the Netherlands and build enduring, long-term relationships with key stakeholders at customer sites.
- Develop strategic account plans focused on growth, customer value, and long-term partnerships.
- Explore emerging markets, applications, and potential clients, identifying and capturing new business opportunities throughout your area.
Commercial Ownership
- Manage your sales funnel effectively, in alignment with the SKF Sales Strategy.
- Prepare and present quotations, pricing proposals, and tailored customer value propositions and negotiate contracts within established commercial frameworks.
Customer Support & Internal Collaboration
- Understand customer needs and translate them into solutions in close collaboration with engineering and product teams.
- Coordinate the implementation of solutions at customer sites, including follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to customers regarding the use and maintenance of SKF solutions.
What do you bring
- A completed commercial or technical degree, as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
- Experience as an account manager, business development manager, or similar commercial role in the industrial sector.
- Affinity with technical products and industrial applications (such as manufacturing, machinery, or maintenance).
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Excel, and data analysis tools.
- High communication skills in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
- A keen business sense, innovative mindset, and the ability to spot and seize opportunities.
- An ability to adjust to new situations, result-driven, and willing to do the utmost to meet commercial objectives.
- Willingness to travel internationally.

This position is Houten (The Netherlands), on local contract.
