Product Development Engineer - Mechanical Tools

The SKF Lubrication Lifetime Solutions Business Unit is responsible for the development, design and manufacturing of lubrication-related systems, tools and equipment. The Business Unit operates in a large number of countries and markets, with a customer portfolio that includes many major OE manufacturers of automotive and industrial products, as well as distribution channel partners. 
 

Product Development Engineer - Mechanical Tools

 
Within SKF and the Lubrication Lifetime Solutions BU, MPT (Maintenance Products and Power Transmission) provides innovative maintenance, lubrication, and power transmission solutions to customers worldwide. With a team that values entrepreneurship, we aim to provide effective products and services in a market that continues to evolve.
 
We are now looking for a motivated Product Development Engineer to join our Offer Development and Innovation team in MPT, with focus on developing our Mechanical Tools products and portfolio.
 
Key responsibilities:
In this role, your main responsibility will be to develop the product range mechanical tools within the SKF MPT portfolio. Furthermore, you will be:

• Generating innovative product ideas to bring unique products to market
• Managing projects to develop and launch new products
• Ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance
• Offering technical support to our customers
• Working in close cooperation with our development partners and suppliers
   

What we expect you to have/be:

• Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience or solid affinity with industrial IoT and connected objects
• Previous working or relevant internship experience in the role of project leader or product development team member
• Experience in working in an international environment across different teams, functional areas and cultures

Additional information
This role is located in Houten, The Netherlands.

As this is a global role, willingness to travel occasionally will be needed.
