Scientist Lubrication - (NL-SE-DE)

To strengthen the Lubrication Team in Houten we are looking for a:

Scientist Lubrication - (Houten (NL), Gothenburg (SE) or Schweinfurt (DE)

You will be supporting R&D projects focused on lubrication, Grease Life (Theory) modeling, lubricant selection and performance. Lubricant and material selection for improved bearing performance is currently covered by a number of projects and activities in which you will play an important role.

Key Responsibilities

Grease life and friction modeling, transfer experimental research into models, guide experimental research and collaboration with external partners (Universities). Manage research and technology development activities in projects; Contribute to innovation and knowledge development in the lubrication area.

Job Requirements

At least PhD in mechanical engineering or physics/chemical engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience in bearing lubrication and modeling. Experience in working in an R&D environment is a must. Knowledge in lubrication, modeling, and tribology; willingness to perform experimental research in support of modeling; enthusiastic attitude; self-motivated and pro-active team player; business focused and result oriented; excellent communication skills and fluent in English.

Additional information

This position will be located in Houten (NL), Gothenburg (SE) or Schweinfurt (DE), on a local contract. You will report to the Competence Area Teamleader Lubrication.
