Sales Engineer - Nigeria
What you can expect in this role
We are hiring a strategic and customer-oriented Sales Engineer to manage our commercial operations in Nigeria’s market.
As a member of the North and West Africa Sales Team, you will be responsible for managing key accounts, leading high-value customer projects, and delivering tailored, value-added solutions that meet evolving market demands of industrial client in the region, especially for Mining, Cement and Metals industries.
You will join a global organization and collaborate with teams across the world, working to reduce friction through our technologies and services to ensure seamless operations for our customers
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to reach and surpass assigned objectives
- Align sales efforts with NWA strategies and business objectives.
- Manage the full customer lifecycle: sales forecasting, supply planning, order handling, delivery coordination, and payment follow-up.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and profitability through strategic account management
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand business needs, build and deepen long-term commercial and technical relationships
- Analyze market trends and customer insights to identify new business opportunities.
- Recommend innovative solutions to enhance competitiveness and profitability.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives, monthly forecasting, and process optimization.
- Support promotional campaigns and strategic planning.
What we expect for this position
- Degree in Engineering / Business Management, as well as technical industrial knowledge; Master Degree will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in industrial sales, preferably in heavy industries (MMPC); experience in manufacturing industries will be considered as meritorious.
- Self-motivated and execution focused with an ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Good planning and problem solving skills with ability to manage projects and deliver results across multiple markets.
- Good learning ability, curiosity and willingness to develop further.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Be willing to travel frequently to visit customers regularly to build customer relationships and trust

Additional information
The position is located in Lagos, on local contract. You will report to the Sales Manager Nigeria, who is located in Lagos, Nigeria.
