Business Analyst – Analytics & Digital Solutions


Reports to:  Digital Solutions Senior Program Manager

Location:  Lansdale,PA

The Business Analyst provides strategic business analysis services to business partners. The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the context in which the business operates.


In this role you will help our clients define, design, and implement complex digital solutions for mission critical information capabilities.


The Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing the business from end-to-end to identify opportunities to use data to create more meaningful connection points across all channels through strategic data intelligence and technology optimization

  • Define scope and objectives through research and fact finding combined with understanding of business requirements
  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in business systems, strategies, and challenges
  • Act as liaison, with the ability to communicate requirements to developers and articulate solutions to end users, executives, and other stakeholders in business terms
  • Provide required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plan)
  • Identify, create, and facilitate process design changes by conducting data, business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level
  • Analysis of business needs, documentation of requirements and translation into application, system and/or digital solutions
  • Manage business relationships and expectations by adhering to communication process to keep others up to date on deliverables
  • Works on most phases of applications, systems and digital solutions analysis
  • Aligns to and works under direct supervision for larger or complex projects
  • Supports implementation and on-going use of applications, systems and digital solutions while adhering to Analytics and Digital Solutions standards
  • Work to drive ultimate utilization, faster adoption and higher proficiency on change impacted on personnel in the organization for business results to be achieved




  • 3-5 years of experience in writing business and / or system requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience with analytics and data driven solutions (e.g. reporting, querying software, OLAP, spreadsheets, dashboards, Machine learning and data mining
  • Experience with aspects of digital solutions including data sourcing, architecture and data modeling of warehouses/marts/repositories, data integration/transformation/ETL, APIs, responsive web apps, visualization and automation.
  • An analytical mindset: able to break down large problems, develop multiple approaches to solutions, and deliver data-driven insights
  • Must have experience running projects (Agile preferred) as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business
  • Strong relationship building skills & communication skills
  • Experience estimating the impact of change requests on timelines, budgets, resources, and project scope
  • Understand the business and rationalize the reporting design to directly answer the key business requirements
  • Experience with SDLC methodologies
  • Interact with project team members to understand timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables
  • Strong writing and communication skills, including the ability to technical and business topics in a structured easily digestible format
  • Comfortable making informed and detailed recommendations to management
  • Demonstrated leadership, particularly in the areas of process improvements and leading change
  • Proficiency using Jira, Case Management Systems, Visio, HIVE, SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point & Projects)



  • Basic SQL skills
  • 3+ years of experience with working at SKF in supply chain, operations, finance, or sales




Travel Required:  Seldom, As needed (i.e. less than 10%)
