About the Company:

Industrial Market USA is seeking a Technical Customer Engagement Representative for the Cooper Customer Solutions team to support and help drive sales growth. This position is the front line, key contact for our customers and internal sales teams and is responsible for building customer relationships, delivering a flawless experience in every interaction, complying with customers’ requirements while adhering to company policies and proactively drive improvement daily.


What makes you important: Cooper Customer Solutions team is seeking a Technical Customer Engagement Representative for the Cooper Customer Solutions team to support and provide excellent customer service. You will be required to participate in hands on field training during the first year at differnt company locations.  The availability & flexability to travel is a must! Your ability to visit the customers on demand is a vital service you will be responsible for!  A tech savvy and mechanically inclined individual is highly desired! 


Daily responsibilities and expectations include but is not limited to: 

  • Order book management
  • Increasing revenue by suggestive selling
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships
  • Problem solving
  • Preparing quotes
  • Offering technical knowledge
  • Accurately entering and tracking orders, follow up on shipments and proactively communicate to customer
  • Working with factories and product planners to expedite deliveries
  • Handling and solving customer complaints and returned goods, while analyzing root cause and propose preventive actions
  • Providing pricing and delivery information
  • Working with field sales to follow up on customer requests
  • Working with engineers to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Acting as a liaison between customers, sales, warehouse and factory regarding new, current and future requirements
  • Participate in providing customer service support for after-hours sales calls on a rotating basis.
  • Provide basic technical knowledge, offer replacements and alternatives



  • Excellent technical/mechanical aptitude
  • Exceptional computer skills; strong in Windows, Microsoft systems, Lotus Notes databases, C4C (Customer Collaboration Tool), and experience with mainframes (preferably JD Edwards and/or AS400).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple competing tasks while providing a flawless Customer Experience through first call/email resolution as well as timely, detailed follow up.
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally across the organization with all levels of employees and management.
  • Ability to multitask between all systems quickly and efficiently.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Technical aptitude, good business mentality and the ability to make good solid business decisions. 
  • Technical knowledge of split roller bearings preferred.
  • Knowledge of industrial sales (preferred).
  • Must be a motivated self-starter and team player, interested in being an integral part of a high performing, diversified team.
  • Individual needs to possess a positive attitude and work very well under pressure in a high stress, fast paced environment.
  • Able to work in a fast pace environment and evolving culture.
  • Availability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Valid USA Drivers License


On field training will be required during the first year as a minimum, flexibility to travel  to other SKF locations and visit customers on demand is needed.
