About the role
This is your opportunity to create meaningful change! If you’re motivated by combining technical skills with people engagement, this role is for you.
At SKF Vehicle Aftermarket, you’ll be part of a trusted global brand that is advancing solutions in the automotive industry. We are seeking a skilled Technical Trainer to enhance our operations throughout the Adriatic region, located in one of our offices in Belgrade, Serbia, or Ljubljana, Slovenia.
In this role, you’ll be right where it matters most, working directly with garages and distributor branches, delivering essential technical and commercial training, and providing frontline support on product applications, claims, and quality topics. Your work will help customers get repairs right the first time, reduce comebacks, and grow SKF VA product adoption.
What you’ll do
-
Develop Strategic Relationships: Build and strengthen partnerships with garages, distributors, and local sales/marketing/product teams to maximize SKF VA’s value proposition in the Adriatic region.
-
Deliver Impactful Training: Conduct technical and commercial trainings, on-site, virtual, and e-learning, for garages, end users, and distributors to drive measurable business impact.
-
Provide Technical Expertise: Offer hands-on support across SKF VA product lines: troubleshoot applications, advise on diagnostics and installation, and coach best practices.
-
Create & Localize Content: Develop presentations, job aids, and videos; adapt technical and commercial communications for local markets.
-
Manage Quality & Claims: Oversee end-to-end claims handling and monitor product performance; identify risks and implement corrective and improvement measures in collaboration with Product Line Management.
-
Enhance Brand Presence & Collaboration: Represent SKF VA at field campaigns, fairs, and customer events; actively contribute to European Technical Team initiatives, including feedback sharing and train-the-trainer activities.
What we’re looking for (requirements)
-
Automotive aftermarket expertise with strong diagnostics and installation skills; ability to turn complex technical topics into clear, practical training.
-
Proven experience in training delivery and design (classroom, workshop, virtual) and familiarity with e-learning tools and adult learning principles.
-
Solid knowledge of claims handling and quality processes, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
-
Skilled in creating content with MS Office; SAP basics and video tutorial production are a plus.
-
Fluent English and regional languages (e.g., Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian) with strong cross-cultural communication skills.
-
Valid driver’s license and readiness for extensive travel across the Adriatic region; Master Technician/Kfz Meister and EV safety accreditation preferred.
You’ll enjoy working here if you…
You’ll thrive in this role if you build trust easily, communicate and coach with clarity, whether in a workshop, classroom, or online, and enjoy solving technical challenges while navigating diverse markets. We offer the chance to support customer success with a globally trusted brand, access to trainer development and e-learning resources, collaboration with a European Technical Team, and competitive compensation with career growth opportunities in an international setting.
