Procurement Master Data Specialist – Automotive Business
In this role you own the Procurement Master Data process for Automotive that is the foundation of who we buy from, what we buy, and under which conditions. It enables sourcing, purchasing, payments, logistics, and analytics to work consistently across systems. In this role, you ensure we have accurate, consistent, and well‑governed procurement master data across systems and regions
Key responsibilities
- Act as process owner for procurement master data, including supplier (vendor) master data and key purchasing master data objects
- Define and maintain global processes & governance
- Act as single point of contact for Procurement Master Data topics towards IT, Finance, Sustainability, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate with internal teams, regional key users and external partners for operational execution
- Ensure quality control and maintenance of all purchasing master data across systems
- Manage compliance with internal policies and controls (Internal audits, SICS..) related to master data controls and provide support during audits
- Represent Procurement Master Data in system deployments, upgrades, new templates, digitalization projects – participates in testing, validation, and deployment of master data changes
- Act as SAP MDG expert - Manage user guidance, documentation, and training material
- Drive continuous improvement of master data processes
- Support analytics, reporting, and dashboards by ensuring reliable and consistent master data inputs
Requirements
- Understanding of procurement processes such as Vendor Master Data
- Experience with SAP (MDG preferred) is a plus.
- Strong affinity for digitalization, data quality, and process automation
