JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Assistant Manager Supply Chain
Reports To: Supply Chain Head
Role Type: Individual contributor
Location: Mysore
Main purpose of the role
Optimize end-to-end operational efficiency, focusing on procurement, inventory control, ERP and logistics to ensure seamless product availability. Manage supplier relationships, analyze supply chain data, reduce costs, and support strategic planning to prevent stockouts and improve workflow.
Job Responsibilities Supply Chain Management
- Develop and implement production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability.
- Monitor production performance and adjust schedules to meet customer demands and minimize bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure optimal resource utilization.
- MO(Work orders) Management (From Initiation to closure)
- Customer orders handling (From orders receipt to delivery)
- Liquidation of Non-moving & obsolescence stocks.
- Inventory data monitoring/Updation to Supply chain head
- Maintain accurate records of production data, MIS, including work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory.
- Daily Review/analysis/action plan on Loss in OEE & Delivery value along with the production and CFT
- Develop roadmap to achieve business plan targets by reviewing the operation on a periodic basis.
- MRP Run for the current month plan & next 2 months tentative plan.
- Import procurement & shipment handling.
- PR/PO handling & Logistics coordination
- Capacity planning & Analysis
- Team & Manpower handling
Reports
- Ensure real time data capture / Data Integrity
- SOP’s & WI preparation
- Prepare and present regular supply chain reports to senior management, including key performance indicators, Analysis, quality issues and areas of improvement.
Skills And Knowledge Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in the industry.
- Basic understanding in supply chain management, ERP systems, XA, OMPS, MIS, Lean manufacturing within a manufacturing environment.
- Good analytical, negotiation & problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Presentation skills
- Knowledge of ISO / TS16949 quality management systems.
- Good proficiency in MS office strong hold on MS Excel
Education
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management / Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
