Key Account Manager Marine
SKF is increasing its focus on the marine segment in the Nordic region, with a particular emphasis on Norway.
In this role, you will play a key part in a long-term growth strategy focused on building sustainable, value-creating partnerships with ship owners and maritime customers.
Rather than focusing on short-term sales, the ambition is to develop strategic relationships that help customers improve reliability, performance, and operational efficiency over time.
As Key Account Manager Marine, you will work closely with ship owners to understand their operational challenges and translate technical solutions into clear business value. You will represent SKF’s condition monitoring and reliability-based offerings, acting as a trusted partner and advisor.
You will collaborate with an experienced internal team, but the role is highly customer-facing and gives you ownership of your accounts and sales pipeline. This position suits someone who combines deep industry understanding with a strong commercial drive and the ability to work independently.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within the Nordic marine segment, with a focus on Norway
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships with ship owners and key maritime stakeholders
- Manage key accounts and negotiate commercial agreements to drive sustainable and profitable growth
- Collaborate with internal teams, including technical experts and product management, to deliver solutions that create clear customer value
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to support strategic decision-making
We expect you to have
- Proven experience in B2B sales within the marine or maritime sector
- Solid understanding of ship owners’ operations and the marine value chain
- Hands-on experience with condition monitoring solutions and a strong understanding of reliability-based concepts
- Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and convert opportunities into results
- Ability to translate technical solutions into clear commercial value for customer
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; Norwegian or other Nordic languages are an advantage
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the region
