Junior Welding Engineer

Requisition ID:  25000
Job Category:  Engineering & Technology
Career level:  Entry Level
Contract type:  Permanent
Location:

Oudsbergen, BE

At SKF, we develop technologies that keep the world rotating more reliably, efficiently, and sustainably. As industries face increasing demands on performance, availability, sustainability, and cost efficiency, advanced material and manufacturing technologies are becoming essential.

Within SKF, Laser Cladding Venture (LCV) specializes in laser cladding, Laser Metal Deposition (LMD), and metal additive manufacturing for large, high‑value industrial components. These technologies enable functional surface engineering, repair, and near‑net‑shape manufacturing, extending component lifetime while reducing material, energy consumption, and overall environmental impact.

Laser Metal Deposition represents a key step in the evolution of welding Technology, combining welding, surface engineering, and industrial 3D printing. It allows engineers not only to join materials, but to engineer material where it is needed, layer by layer, supported by precise metallurgical control and digital process monitoring.

At LCV, industrial production, qualified welding processes, and continuous process innovation come together. For a new generation of welding engineers, this environment offers a unique opportunity to grow, develop future‑proof skills, and help shape the next generation of manufacturing technologies.
