Product Line Manager – SKF North America

Location: Plymouth, MI or Blue Bell, PA

About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Product Line Manager to strengthen our North American product line. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our value proposition, driving sales impact, and ensuring strong integration with our global product network. This is a unique opportunity to influence both local and global product strategies while actively managing the P&L for North America.

  • Deeply understand and identify what North American customers value most and adjust the product value proposition accordingly.
  • Develop and implement integrated product lifecycle management processes, including new range introductions, SKU and material creation, data robustness, and phase-in/phase-out procedures.
  • Drive continuous development and improvement of the North American product range, collaborating with production locations and innovation teams to deliver IAM (Independent Aftermarket) specification capabilities.
  • Actively drive the P&L for North America, defining and executing appropriate action plans at the right level to achieve business objectives.
  • Build and maintain a strong connection with the Global Product Line network to optimize the offer through synergies and shared best practices.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Work closely with R&D, engineering, sales, marketing, and supply chain to align roadmaps and launch activities.
  • Monitor product performance metrics, analyze results, and recommend optimizations.
  • Support and enhance the product offer sales pitch at customer meetings to increase impact and win rates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • + 5 years (?) of experience in product management and product line management within the Independent Automotive Aftermarket
  • Demonstrated experience in product lifecycle management, sales enablement, and P&L responsibility.
  • Deep understanding of the North American market landscape.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven aftermarket pricing & channel experience.
  • Ability to balance strategic range planning with tactical sales execution.
  • Data-driven mindset (sell-out analysis, competitor intelligence, price elasticity).
  • Stakeholder management across Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and central PLM.
  • Deep understanding of aftermarket lifecycle economics (launch → sunset).
  • Analytical skills (inventory, GMROI, forecast accuracy).
  • Project coordination across Supply Chain, Pricing, Engineering Support.
  • Strong communication skills—able to justify lifecycle actions to both commercial and technical audiences.
