SKF are establishing a Finance Shared service center organization supporting all SKF units globally. We have an exciting future ahead of us towards a clear Finance strategy road map. Finance will have a powerful role related to a lean, efficient and digital environment, and we are aiming to be in the frontline of next generation Business Finance.
The Finance Function at SKF in Poland includes Accounting & Reporting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Controlling, Internal Control and Finance Processes.
Your day-to-day work
- Preparation and posting of journal entries for IFRS-specific accounting areas (e.g. intercompany, treasury, fixed assets, pension accounting, inventory)
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Analysis of financial statement figures and variances
- Responding in an effective and timely manner to all Business Partners’ inquiries concerning your area of responsibilities
- Driving standardization and improvements of accounting processes; using SKF Business excellence as the tool to reach future goals
- Participation in internal and external audits
We expect you to have/be
- university graduate with at least 2-3 years of work experience in accounting/finance area
- very good English (at least B2 level), German language skills are beneficial.
- broad knowledge and understanding of accounting principles (especially IFRS)
- computer literacy and experience with MS Office applications (with particular focus on Excel). Practical knowledge of SAP would be an asset
- results and action-oriented individual with good interpersonal and communication skills
- pragmatic & logical thinker with an eye for detail and an analytical mind
- flexible, especially in the period of month/year-end closing
- strong organizational and time management skills
