SKF are establishing a Finance Shared service center organization supporting all SKF units globally. We have an exciting future ahead of us towards a clear Finance strategy road map. Finance will have a powerful role related to a lean, efficient and digital environment, and we are aiming to be in the frontline of next generation Business Finance.
The Finance Function at SKF in Poland includes Accounting & Reporting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Controlling, Internal Control and Finance Processes.
Your day-to-day work
- responsibility for VAT reporting for 2 Polish legal entities – preparation of declarations based on data in the system, sending to tax offices (VAT-7, JPK-VAT, VAT UE)
- execution of internal controls referring to tax risks (incl. obligatory split payment, VAT codes on the posted documents, date of tax obligation, etc.)
- reconciliation of VAT accounts
- answering inquiries from tax authorities, handling VAT controls
- cooperation with Accounting departments (P2P, O2C, R2R) referring to VAT obligation to optimize the process and minimize the risks of errors
- monitoring of changes in VAT law, tax interpretations, rulings published by Ministry of Finance
- preparation of requests for tax refund from foreign VAT (VAT REF)
- providing internal VAT trainings for other departments, preparing instructions for accountants regarding VAT obligations
- cooperation with VAT Accountants from other countries
- support Tax controller in other tax related tasks
We expect you to have/be
- at least 2 years of working experience in the accounting/finance area with the VAT declaration responsibility
- good working knowledge of MS Office Programs (Excel and Outlook)
- language skills: Polish - fluent, English - communicative in speaking and writing, German – would be an asset
- professional interest in taxes, good knowledge/experience in accounting allowing to prepare the reconciliations, extract data for tax reporting
- close attention to detail
- keen to show initiative and eager to learn
